Was on my way to band practice last night at about 8.30pm, as i was just arriving at the reheashal rooms at 8.55pm i almost got knocked off.

Its hard to explain so I have provided a diagram.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/remoking/BCFikmage.jpg

That basicly happened (If anyone knows, it was on St. Benedicts street), for anyone else, its the busiest clubbing street in Norwich.

She came right into the side of me, and her car brushed my leg and i had to take evasive action not to make proper contact with her car, to then fall off.

The whore, instead of turning right where she intended to go (without checking her mirrors of course), then shot off to the left to get away from me, as she KNEW i was fuming.

Fuck that, I gave chase, I overtook her, then she overtook me!

I was on the verge of smashing her door, so I calmy overtook again, slowed to 20mph and did a slow wanking motion with my left hand.

About 1 minute later and a sore wrist we came to a roundabout. I think she got the message, so i went my seperate way.

FUCKING BITCH.

Just waiting for some nob to say you should not react to cars trying to kill you as you will turn them into a bike hater for life.
In my opinion you made two mistakes.
You never broke her car.
You let her overtake.

I'm surprised you even bothered to post about it - things like that happen daily, it's part of the fun of riding a bike Laughing

She overtook dangerously, as she must have thought i was on a 125cc.

And I agree, things like that happen daily. But she almost knocked me off, and if she DID knock me off, she would have drove off as fast as possible.

Thats what pissed me off most.

mirrors next time. let her go, whn shes stoped in traffic, go past her passenger side and fuck with her mirror. that way she cant open the door or get to you, and youll be off in a second.
*waits for everyone to explan why its your fault.*

yeah unfortunately people do that, I still remember me being hit by a car and the git speeding off while I was still on the ground thinking what the?.

This sort of thing kind of distorts my oppinion of CCTV in that mass state surveillance is bad, but its really useful for indentifying such people.

Dunno though in that people view different bikes erm differently.

The NTV is really battered and has the moses effect on nice sunny days ie people will move out the way for you, CBR less so.

But for hit n run,

on the CBR people KNOW they aren't going to get away, (156mph top end)

but then they don't realise the NTV is capable of 132mph (there is something wrong with it these days and it tops out at 123 now)

Sounds crap, I would have pulled up next to the window at the lights and knocked on the window if she did it down and apologised, then I would have just given her a bollocking and made her feel very guilty about it all.

But I don't think she would have done her window so I would just keep doing it until she got the idea.

Although I am sure in the situation I would have seen red and kicked the wing mirror off.

Hopefully she learnt a lesson though

I've lost count of the amount of times people have pulled out in front of me while over taking, may be a funny concept, but you do actually need to use those funny shiney things on the side of you car.

I was in a similar situation to you yesturday, while overtaking, a car deciding to pul out just as my front wheel was level with their rear Brick Wall, was dark aswell so they would have easily seen my lights.

I had a polish twat in a red lefthand drive m3 bmw he hit me sideways luckily there was nothing comming the otherway he eventually stopped and was very appologetic the twat didnt see me. What a poor exscuse the law say thats driving with due care and attention but theres never a copper around when you need one.
On the other hand every day I get old farts pulling out like greased lightning only to go into straight into turtle mode. Women who can't guess my speed or the gap so they pull out in front or just turn in front. Usually after about 10 near misses I start to get annoyed and either go past booting the car door, twating their mirror or just go slow protest for a couple of miles that realy pisses em off.
Glad you were ok though just put it down to experience and the mentallity of the cage drivers.

I live in Lancashire. There's less bikers up here and people don't seem to look for bikes.

Don't know why, it may only have one light on the front instead of two but it's still easily visible.

Well I read in the Bury times a woman was hit and run by a guy on a bike , he stopped checked she was ok and scooted off, so hit and run is not exclusive to one group of road users.

It happens to me quite a bit. Anywhere there are multi lanes for going different directions.

People dont want to slow down and change lane into a space behind me, so they barge me out of the way.

Sometimes they genuinely dont see me, other times, they are jsut relying on me getting out of the way.

At the moment, my new commuter bike has shit mirros, so i cant even see them coming.

I have been tempted to kick off a few wing mirrors.

Icing on the cake was at work, a lad who drives had never even heard of a blind spot, and was convinced that if he looked in his mirrors he could see anything.

Often its a car that has gone almost as if to overtake and when they cant see me anymore in their mirror, they think they have overtaken, but they have just got me in their blind spot. This is when the side swipe occurs.

Wasnt really a hit and run though was it, as he stopped to see if she was okay.

And in my case, the driver wouldnt have stopped.
