Daylight MOT; do i need a retest if I fit lights?

Hi,

Have only got a daylight MOT on my 'new' bike; now there is an advisory on the MOT, but...if I fit lights, will I need it to be retested to drive it at night, or in reduced visibility?

As you note, there's an advisory on the MOT, it's not a 'daylight MOT' which doesn't actually legally exist.
Your bike has an MOT, with an advisory on it.

An MOT, of course, doesn't relate to current road-worthyness, so whether or not you have one with an advisory the police can still stop you and give you a rectification notice.

Basically, though; 'no' Smile.
