Thought you may like a laugh Laughing

This is my first bike at 16 the BSA Bantam 125cc !

Specs: 0 to 60 in about 2 weeks Laughing

3 speed gearbox SLOW, DEAD SLOW, and STOP Laughing

https://www.photoelite.co.uk/images/bantam.jpg

Note: the left hand side Brake!

This machine has a rear sprocket with additional teeth to give a lower
gear ratio! If this had not been done, it would have come to a dead
stop in a head wind.

They did do a 175cc lump this could be bolted in and operational in
a flash. This machine was converted to coil ignition from the origional magneto!

James,

This one belongs to an elderly gentleman in Sunderland! I was in the
area on Thursday morning and was asked to pop in and visit him, Im
glad I did, he is a wealth of information going back over 60 years of
biking. Very Happy

He still rides this one around, plus he has a Honda 200 don't know the
model and that's in good nick as well.

He has a 175 lump that he is installing into the Bantam and he is taking
part in this year's Bemish Rally! Not bad for 82 years young.

Will post his pic with both bikes at a later date.

He told me he would love to own and ride a modern 600 sports, but he
was concerned about the weight in case he dropped it!

He was very tempted after we had a long discussion about 600's at one
time he used to race Norton's and the BSA Gold Star! He said at his age
the money means nothing, just the worry about the weight.
