Seeing as it's the season of good will and all that festive stuff, I thought I'd share this with you lot.

You can currently get DivX Pro for free directly from DivX for either PC or MAC. Simply follow the relevent link below and select the appropriate link from that page:

I know alot of you might have it from torrents or wherever, however some people (like me) would rather have a legit copy if it's available Thumbs Up

Put me right if I'm being thick, but all it is is a player, basically. You can't make anything with it. And they were charging $20? Div-X players are freely available all over the net, as are the codecs. What am I missing? Confused

its for the convertor/ - pro codec aswell according to that link, which makes it a decent freebie

Oh, ok. I thought being able to upload bog standard Avis made on Movie Maker to YouTube had pretty much made most other stuff redundant. The player's useful for embedded Div_X stuff I suppose, though I very rarely come across any these days.
