My housemate has a Xbox 360 that she got free with her mobile contract and she has only used it a few times to watch DVD's. It has no games and one wireless controller and she want's £150 for it. I presume it would only be the core system as it came with a mobile contract.

What do you think I should haggle her for? Considering I could get the Arcade pack new for £190.

Ahhh, well she hasn't got the original box for it. Bummer. Could you still send it back by warranty without a box?

Premium system she got then. What do you reckon would be a reasonable offer?

most mobile contracts supplied core systems so double check. probs only worth about £120 tops for a second hand core.

if its a premium though (will have a hard drive fitted to it, a chrome dvd bezel and eject button, wired headset and a video cable with 6 phono plugs on the end as well as the woreless controller) then its worth more. id pay no more than £180 tops for a premium with all the bits.

you dont need the box for warranty purposes.

Cheers, very helpful.

As it will probably break down at some point, do Microsoft require a reciept of purchase for warranty, or is it done on a serial number basis? Thumbs Up Smile

no mate no one so far that i know has been asked for proof of purchase. they use the S/N to determine the manufacture date which is also printed on the S/N label on the back of the case to confirm warranty entitlement Thumbs Up
