Evening all,

I'm looking for some help here! I'm going to pop the big question on Christmas day and I wan't it to be really special, however, I'm a bit stuck for ideas that wont cost me the earth.

We've been going out for about six years so I'm sure the ring itself will blow her away but I just want to make it a bit extra special.

Anyone?

Thumbs Up

Say it with a burn out , and write it in the road,

it might not wash/wear away for a while though , and you have to find a queit moment to do this while she is out , and thus wakes up to you doing the finishing touches , honk horn like mad she gets annoyed gets up to scream at you , opens the windows and oh....

(will not work on illiterates)

also Marry me is quite a lotta burn out to do.

I live on a main road, don't think the local cops would be best pleased!

Ease the ring into a Christmas cracker with a written proposal instead of joke.

but its totally forgettable,

what you should do is get your mum to call the missus and say you've been admitted to hospital.

you wait at a suitable entrance and surprise her,

you can guage if she is worth it by how long she takes to get to see you,

And she'll be peer pressured into saying yes by the 100s of people at the hospital.

She will be utterly fuming and mad , and this will completely catch her off guard.

Arrow You can buy tin baubes that prise apart....
Get one of those, and put the ring inside
Ask her to get the special bauble from the tree for you
Arrow Buy her a kitten and tie the ring round it's neck Very Happy Thumbs Up Embarassed
Arrow Put the ring on one of the turkeys legs Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Maybe not
Arrow I have it... I just thought about what makes things like this romantic....>>>
romance, my man, winter... SNOW! Get some of that fake snow stuff, you know, the kind you add water to and it puff up (really good!)
Have a romantic day, then later on... sitting by the fire, on a rug, nice glass of wine, nice music playing...>>
get a big dish, make the fake snowy stuff up to play in and mess about with, and drop the ring into it -
How lovely would that be to find the ring in the snow!! Better yet, so it's easier to find, put the ring inside the bauble I suggested at the start!!
God I am excited Laughing Embarassed Exclamation

Let us know how it all goes

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

"Marry Me?" written on a helium filled baloon inside a box and put it under the tree. Use the ring inside the ring box to weight the ribbon down inside the box Thumbs Up Cool

Don't think she'll want to put her finger through a greasy ring Laughing

You could ring the Queen up and get her to say it in her speech at the end, it would be classy Very Happy

So it would be like the following:
'Oh and by the way Edicap wants to marry you (she winks) Very Happy'

Man I'm crazy Razz

Put the ring in a pressie with affore mentioned card saying "marry me", or write out a card but instead of merry xmas etc, write something romantic and containg the marry me line, with the ring sello-taped inside the card. - Or, you could propose as she reads the card....

Combine Jodie and Itchy's ideas: spread this fake snow on the ground outside your bedroom window (unless, of course, you get real snow) and pee your proposal on it. She'll be even more impressed if it's joined-up calligraphy! Thumbs Up To be even more festive & romantic, drink plenty of beetroot or tomato juice for the red colouring.

Can't see how that would fail.
