F*cking sh*tty DVLA

Ok, I passed my A2 on 16/10/07.
Today I get a letter telling me I did a test which I'm not entitled to?!
I'm 19 years old and did the test on a CG125, in what way am I not entitled to this test?
Anyway, I read on.
Half way down the letter they tell me (to my amazement) that I did the test on a 500cc motorcycle which is DAS and I'm underage.
Im now being told my test is void and I will recieve no licence!
I've tried to contact my examiner, only to find he's retired......great.

Any suggestions from you guys would be much appriciated, I really dont know what to do.

A2 is the restricted license which is done on a 125. WTF

Did the motorcycle school put you into the A full unrestricted test? perhaps the examiner filled out the paper work wrong?

Yeah the examiner did fill in the paperwork wrong.
My pass certificate says A2 though!
This is a right old mess and the dvla dont wanna know!

Don't worry they will have lost your details by Christmas so you'll have to sit all your tests again, except you'll probably have no money in the bank after the social gave away those details too.

I would invest in an Oyster card, at least then they will always know where to find you when they sort it all out

If you still have your DL25C fault sheet from your test, it shows the reg of the bike you sat it on. That should prove it was a 125.

Wait, so you basically passed a HARDER TEST, on the kinda bikes you can ride once you've passed the A2, but because your meant to be too much of a noob to o that, they say its invalid.

FFS, you did the test on a BIGGER, HEAVIER and supposely more dangerous bike.

And this means your licence is invalid?

This country is fucking rediculous.

Contact the DSA on 08700101327.
You can confirm which test you booked to take. they will also have the record of your results and what type of test you took together with the reg No of the vehicle you took your test on.
your Blue pass cert will also say what you are able to ride.
The examiners have to do a write up about the test so that will also be on record.
Don't panic and be nice to the people you talk to as they will be the ones who help you.

Thanks for all the help guys.
Im gonna go down the test centre and speak to somebody there as I think they work for the dsa.
I just cant believe that a government agency like this can make such f*ck ups and get any with it!

Ah, just forget it go and do a couple of driving lessons pass a piss easy test and buy a subaru, then you too can yell at the motorcyclist who has done 4 tests and has better observation skills, for not watching where he was going!

Yeah a wee bit of cynicism there, the whole system is fucked up, but play the game and you'll get there.

As SKUDD said just be polite, obtain the records, all the info is there and keep the "you cnut" ending to each sentence.. silent..

The DVLA are fucking ridiculous. About a month and a half back i got a letter from the DVLA saying that i needed to send my licence back to have the points put on it. I did so and i got it back about 3 weeks later

Now about 4 days ago i get a letter saying that my licence will be rvoked on the 19th because i havent produced my licence. They really are complete and utter fuckups as an organisation.

But i rang up and i really cant fault the person who dealt with me on the phone, he was really profesional and helpful. And he got it all sorted out within 2 minutes.
