Can't say I've ever actually tried an older 4 or 6 for size, but that new felt kinda lite, small and looks sexy.

Yes, it was a small bike. Not really my thing either really. I'm 5'9" too.

Only (proper) bike I tried, that was smaller, was a buell XB12r. The bars were practically in your chest. Felt fun just to sit on
I'm avoiding local bike shop at the moment, because they have a used one up for sale... I know if they offer a special deal I'll end up in more debt.
