Opinions on 1988 CBR600F

On tuesday i should be taking a look at a CBR 600 F which is as old as i am

Its up for £495, 42k miles, aparently good condition/good runner/lots of life in consumables etc (will see on tuesday..)

Is there anything i should keep an eye out for specifically?

What do they perform/handle like?

Its just go get me back on the road ASAP when my ban ends (this thursday ) and as i dont have the money for anything nice, this could be a excellent buy to get me too and from work for the next few months!

Mechanically pretty solid. Not great finish (plastics looked tatty within a couple of years). Were pretty decent bikes for their time.

Difficult to say. To be honest any running MOTed bike gets down to a minimum price not much below that.
