So long as you do it in a safe manner, ie, not all over the road and causing other drivers to take avoiding action, you should be OK.

Often have a gentle weave up the road... One thing i have noticed is cars stay a lot further behind you when you start doing it

Yeah, as long as it isnt endangering other road users or yourself then i wouldnt have thought it as illegal
U would probably get pulled for being drunk though.


Remember endangering other road users includes distracting them, a bike weaving all over the road will be distracting to say the least.

I've done it infront of cops no problem,

thing is theres no way to get enough heat into your tyres, sure a 90mph burn will make them warm , but they'll cool very quickly

i think its been said before that a few blasts, accelerating and braking hard gets more heat into the tyres than weaving about when your on the road. Weaving may be more beneficial if your on the track doing it to get heat into the sides. Dont think weaving is illegal but certainly if you start taking the piss the cops will pull you over for something. It also helps for tailgaters, pretend to wobble about and they back off abit.

Only thing I can imagine they'd try and slap on you is Reckless Driving or possibly if they're a complete Sea Ewe En Tea! Dangerous driving.

doubt its illegal in its own right, but if you had an arsey copper they could probably pull you, surely it all falls into the same category as wheelies etc, where they can do you for dangerous driving, even though you may be in full control.

They probably could do you for it if they wanted to.

However you have very little to gain from weaving anyway, so what's the point. You're better off doing hard acceleration followed by hard braking to get heat into your tyres.
