Nuclear strength curry + pint of Coke + one fag = cold gone

The equation can still work without the fag, im sure.

When I get cold or Manflu, I normally drink lots of lemon tea (with the pips and all). I helps me relax and I think it also must do some good!

LSD mixed with hot cocoa (to taste) chased with 5 grams of coke.

Alternatively lemsip is pretty great.

Witchy Brew:

Put in a tall glass:

A measure of Brandy
Juice of a lemon
A teaspoon (or more if you like it sweet) of honey
Some freshly grated ginger
And top up with lemonade.

Stick the lot in the microwave for a few minutes until it's nice and hot.

Inhale, drink, enjoy. Works better than lemsip and tastes delicious Thumbs Up

was going to suggest that as well, could substitute the brandy for a good slosh of whisky if preferred Thumbs Up

Fill a bowl up with bowling water, put a towel over your head and hang your head over the bowl and breath the steam. Try to do this 3 times a day, my colds usually go in about 3 or 4 days.
It also helps if you add a bit of tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil.

I'm currently trying some antibiotics I had lying around with the occasional Mesulin or co-codamol tablet. Loads of Albas oil on the bed covers too.

As above there is no cure and if there was the person who found it would be rolling in it. Paracetamol to stop the aches & pains or alcohol to numb everything. Just a case of sitting it out and not being wimpish. Wink

Mulled wine, a variation on Annabella's remedy:

1 LARGE glass of red wine, any flavour
A chunk of lemon, a stick of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, and a clove or two. Maybe a teaspoon of honey to sweeten it if you wish.

Stir it all in, heat to almost-boiling point, pour into a glass, and drink.
Possbily drink one more, if you are in the mood, but DEFINITELY no more than two, else you will wake up with a hangover to replace the cold in the morning.

Go to bed with lots of covers.
Take a bottle of water with you for when you wake up during the night (thins out the tannins in the wine, so you don't get dehydrated/hung over).

Sweat out cold.
Sorted in the morning Thumbs Up

Do NOT buy ready made mulled wine, e.g, that very nice plonk from Marks & Spencer ... although it is nice, its not the same as making it from scratch.

Prevention is better than cure. 1 zinc tablet a day. I cant remember the last time I had a cold was over 3 years ago anyway. Have had 2 flues in 3 years though but where gone very quick.

Hi,

Well there's no way you had the flu if it was "gone very quick". You must have had a virus or, shock horror, a cold! Shocked Wink

Cheers,

Will
