I wasn't going to post about this but since i just found this story on that propoganda website, sorry beeb website, I will.

https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/7151708.stm

Last night riding home after dark came to a set of traffic lights somewhere in that London. Three lane wide carriageway with bus-lane to the left and central reservation in centre. Filtered to the front as you do, came to a halt alongside four or five other bikes and scooters.

Lights go green and us bikes go straight on in the right two lanes. the left lane was for vehicles merging in further up.

Come round a slight bend to find a police transit with Police on in our lane (RHS) hurtling towards us, obviously having driven round the central reservation further back and now stuck in our lane. Shocked

Now I'm no bloody prude or whinging Daily Mail reader type but FFS when you drive something as big as a transit at speed at oncoming traffic whilst in the wrong lane, that is a bit of a faux pas surely? It can't be in the top ten of good ideas by the Met can it? All the bikes in that lane had to do a bit of a swerve into my lane just to avoid an accident, God only knows what carnage occured when 3 lanes of traffic and a bus-lane's worth came round the corner. Shocked

So have you experienced anything like this? Thoughts?

Sometimes I wonder if some coppers have brains in their heads... Dumb as a box of rocks the driver of that transit.

My mum got a taxi from the gym while the xc90 was in for service, one of those transits was at the traffic lights and just reversed into the taxi.

No lights or nothing. Laughing

it is in the government's interest that many police have very low IQs , as this makes them less willing to disobey or question orders.

Probably why great purges in the past generally murdered all the intellectuals first.

Couple of days ago I was approaching a roundabout and a police car bolted out from the junction to my right to the exit on my left. He locked his wheels a car had pulled out.

To be honest I think the police officer was driving a bit too aggressively it was only luck that he didnt plough into the car.
