I fiiiiiiiiiiinally got my first big bike after 2 years of riding/waiting on monday, and all I can say is, wow.

How is it that not once have I ever read anything on this forum that can really explain just what its like to ride a proper bike?! I must of been imagining the feeling for at least a year now, and I was so, so, so far off.

Nothing could of prepared me for just what happens when you pull back the throttle in first, second, third, hell, any gear, its like time travel, its not like your moving forwards, its just everything else is moving backwards!

The similarities between riding my 125 varadero and this are so few its neglible, the position, the style of riding, everything is so different, and so, so much better.

To anyone thinking of doing their test, all I can say is, DO IT!

Indeed, the acceleration is unreal.

There's no feeling like opening a bike up for the first time to see what it can do... Shocked Shocked Cool Laughing

Wow, I really like those colours actually! Not seen one like it before. Enjoy it! Also, what year is the bike? What exhaust has it got on it?

Also, one question, does my clutch lever look far out to anyone in the know? Seems to be causing me quite a bit of pain! S'good excuse to stay in the lower gears though Twisted Evil

The lever looks like it sticks out a bit, but having said that when i got my cbr it took me a while to get used to the clutch span.

It does a bit, I've had a look on ebay at clutch levers for your bike and it looks like that is the design of the clutch lever.

CBR clutch levers are like that ,

but hey you'll get used to it <3 secs to 60 becomes a bit meh after a while, Tim got bored of his 636 acceleration after a while,

I've seen plenty HRC rep firestorms in those colours but can't say that i've seen on on the 6. It suits the bike's lines and ages well.

Well, as far as first big bikes go you couldn't have done much better. The F3s are about as all-round as you can get.

And that's about the prettiest one I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few.

I'm not that jealous... much.
