but you get to wake up in your own house, and go home to your own house every evening

you also get to eat the food you want to eat, and only clean when you want to

so, more disposable comes at a cost i guess, not sure i can live like i am at the moment, for the next 6-7 years, but i guess we'll see

I think he means that he gets £550 for the month and works 25 hours a week which works out at around £137 a week or £5.50 an hour which is what you get at our local McDonalds??

Isn't Macdonalds like £4.50ish? However they might be looking for staff with more intelligence Smile

And Luke works at Sainsburys afaik, so I guess that is £550 for a month, unless he's just become a well paid manager

The thing is that everyone is at different stages of their life. Some of those bods out there working in MacDonalds whilst going through university quite often have the potential to overtake those who have been in a well paid tecnical job most of their lives.

The hippy has the potential to be on a lot more but he knows where he wants to be - hands on and solving the problems and not sat behind a desk sorting out people.

Dont forget thigs like children and failed investments, changes in curcumstances which tend to screw things up.

Its also not what you earn but what you do with it - one person might find motorbikes importnant and another may want a decorated house with central heating and working doors - but lets face it I couldnt resist the hippys wide grin every time he rides the bike!

Isnt life just a big bowl of soup of chance garnished with the occasional sprig of successfull planning and carrying the dead flies of failed planning!
