my back end came unglued on the A3 this evening. Starting wobbling, so I just slowed down and pulled in.

No major dramas.

I went to do abit of xmas shopping this evening after work and came back to a layer of ice over my tires... Shocked I may finally have to hang up the helmet for winter tomorrow.

What , FWBs the lotta ya!, its only dodgy until you get to a main road,

keep the gears high and ski if you meet serious ice.

It was icy yesterday morning and night, but in the day it was dry so I had a nice 65 ride along some newly-discovered twisties.
It's been icy all day today though, was the worst this morning and presumably has got pretty bad again this evening.
Picking up my brother was fun this morning!

ABS kicked in on my car yesterday, and I wasn't even braking hard.

Was a little scary as I was heading towards a junction at the time!

Shortly after this I was tailgated all the way from that junction to my parents street (which was about two miles) so not wanting to be rear ended, I cornered rather hard into my parents street, forgetting it was heavily gritted.

Subarus slide quite nice and controllably I discovered!! Very Happy

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

last night about 10 of us went down to the local park and ride, it was iced over, so we thought we'd see who could spin it up the furthest!

It gets sketchy when you hit the limiter, then it starts going side to side, it was pretty bloody fun though.

And surprisingly the only lad to crash was on a monkey bike. Laughing

I've been drifting my transit van at any opportunity!

It doesn't even need to be icey to be honest, that thing slides like a pro Laughing even tho its front wheel drive its still easy enough to get sideways!

I would film it but it's sign written and I don't think my manager would be best pleased Laughing

It's all fun and controllable on the power, pulling away from the lights next to a Lotus Exige only for me to rev the nuts off the bike and just go sideways. It's just under heavy braking with a front tyre low on tread when things get a little worrying Mr. Green

Well my back-end has stepped out every time I've ridden it this week, but not on ice on that shitty greasy stuff they lay down with the grit. Anyway tonight on the way home the front-end decided to have a go. I think it was feeling left out, I was riding through a sweeping left-hander though some traffic lights at 40 mph. Well I hit something soft and squishy, I think it was already dead (well it should be now) and the front wheel wobbled a bit but thankfully the council have laid that grippy stuff on the junction so it was all under control fairly quickly.

Nice adage though Ariel "emotional and interesting"

I managed to slide sideways down the hill my house is on this morning and have the front end slip a little when coming out of a junction as well. Stayed upright though. Thumbs Up
