The touring bike is a sport touring bike (Norge), which is a seperate category. Cruising bike is mislabeled (The Victory Vision is a touring bike, look at the frame) so honestly a cruiser isn't even mentioned. I'd give that to Yamaha, they're really pushing the envelope with cruisers right now. $.02

Sports bike : Suzuki GSX-R1000
I can't agree or not on this, but kudos to Suzuki for giving the option to tone down the HP when necessary. They need to go a step further and lower it to 99hp or even 60. When you're in the long haul you'll appreciate the longer distance you can stretch out a tank of gas.
Retro bike : CCM FT35S
Retro? Heh, CCM had to fight Honda's entire cruiser lineup. =p
Adventure bike : BMW R1200GS
Commuter bike : Aprilia Mana
It's a shame the US doesn't see any real automatic bikes.
Naked bike : Honda Hornet CB600F
Dispite what people think, Honda really is making a push in some places. Their off road bikes are also the talk of the town.
Sport Touring bike : Moto Guzzi Norge
Electric bike : Vectrix
The problem with electric bikes is their low speed and piss poor distance. With those two problems gone all the Vectrix needs to do is work on keep the price of their product down. History has shown that the concept of "paying for itself" doesn't float unless it's over a period of a few years or less. A $10000 bike that saves $1000 in gas every year? That's still half a decade's worth of gas money to match the proven, gas driven 400cc bike next to it.
Touring bike : Victory Vision Tour
Victory went all out on this bike. It's got the works: electric dash, power windshield, even an automatic stand that comes out if it leans too far. It's strayed off the beaten path a lot, but I don't think I agree with using a V-twin in these endurance runs because some can tend to vibrate at freeway speeds. This may not even be an issue. I know some people who've paid the othewise ridiculous price for one and love them. In fact I've yet to hear a bad review, so I think this spot is well earned.

As always, YMMV, not compliant with emission standards in California, and not valid in the Communist nation of Deleware.
