As you peeps know I own a ZXR400L L2. Now I know this may sound stupid or disgusting, but I'm changing all the accessory parts on the bike to purple. e.g. levers, bolts, oil cap etc... Now I've done quite a lot already including tank bolts, screen and screen bolts, oil cap, levers and flush mount indicators.

Now the reason I opened this thread is to ask, is it possible to put barends on the ZXR400 clips-ons? and If so, how? Only I've looked at it from all angles and it looks like the clip-ons are machined out of 1 piece of metal. Confused

Any ideas wil be greatly appreciated.

Is the bar solid? if so, you can buy those bar ends that fit with a m8 allen cap screw. A little bit of carefull drilling and thread cutting will do it.

Yeah the bar end is solid, doesn't look like anything can be put on or taken off from it. Looks like some carefull drilling then Confused

Thanks for your reply though. Thumbs Up

Just make shure that you find the centre of the bar end and drill perfectly straight. Otherwise it will look odd.

i've been looking at black spike and yamaha embosed black and carbon copy bar ends, but they all screw in, but the problem is the ones i currently have hav a bit of rubber that expands when you tighten it up so it grips the inside, i think one of my bars has the bit that is threaded missing. What can i do? I dont like the current bar ends and they need changing.

You can either cut them and tap some holes or fit bars off a ZX6R.
