Possible new bike.

Hiya Guys & Gals,

I know the Bandit is still not finished, but I went over to my local bike shop on Saturday and while I was chatting to the bloke that runs the place he asked about the Bandit and I told him I was not in a rush because of the Shite weather. at this point he mentioned a winter hack and showed me a Yamaha FZX750 hes got up for sale at a Grand. It looks in good condition cant remember the age, or mileage. But they have been literally given this bike, and he has said that if I want it (as its me!!) I can have it for £800. Its mot'd and taxed and the only thing wrong with it that is visible is the lights switch has broken off. The lights are permanantly on. But thats it. He has told me it runs fine and that I welcome to pop round and take it for a blast to see myself.

Not really my type of bike but at £800 it seems cool.

What daya reckon???

Hi

FZX750 is the mini V Max styled version of the FZ750. Engines are bullet proof. Just do not over tighten the chain, as if you do it wrecks the bearing behind the front sprocket which requires a complete engine strip down to replace. Not staggeringly powerful, but it will be substantially up on the Bandit.

Finish will not be great. Brakes are likely to seize up easily. Valves rarely need touching.

As a bike they are fine, but that price is possibly a touch high for an FZX as they have never been that popular.

I am hoping to get it out for a test ride at some point and if all is up to scratch I will decide wether or not it is worth parting with my hard earned for.

lol they proberly gave about £100 quid for it .then sell it to you for £800 .lol nice profit lol you just know its true they give fuck all for old bikes.
