Insurance is up in January, I'm with Carole Nash at the minute paying £615 for TPO (I know its a bit of a joke). I tried gocompare.com and got a quote of £569 but I want to pay it monthly.

So, what I want to know is, has anyone any idea of how much my insurance will drop to?

Also, do Carole Nash accept monthly payments?

I'm 20, 1yr ncb, locked shed, Spyball alarm and Oxford Hardcore Lock, based in Northern Ireland... Thinking

Thumbs Up

I cant tell you right now my crystal ball is cloudy...

Why not try bennets and other companys or get the yellow pages out like i always do and bullshit yourself a lower quote than you got so they try and beat it, dont let it renew cos thy will charge you the same, i payes £282 for my fzr tpf&t, and they want £300+ off me as they want the money for admin and stuff, but i got the discounts when i bought my policy online. They arnt catching me out...

Last year I was with Lexham on the RS and the renewal was £200 cheaper, so I doubt it'd stay the same. I have tried the other companies... thats what gocompare and confused.com do, they're like brokers. I will obviously ring round closer to the time just want to see what I can do.

Companys like that take a little bit of your money too, they dont do it for free... Ring around or get qoutes from bennets etc. Hope you get a good qoute.

Not necessarily. Don't they often take money from the company they recommend you to? And by take, I mean they'll have already set up an agreement that for every referral to a quote they get paid.

If I was an insurance company I'd pay sites like go compare every time they brought me a customer. Cheap advertising.

Give https://www.insurance2000.co.uk/ a go.

Tend to be the cheapest for us young uns Smile

Also the market is set to harden through 2008 with most insurers ging for rating increases so you may see the market being more expensive than expected.

It says somewhere on the confused.com site that the quotes shown are what you would get if you go direct. I'm sure they still get the cut though.

Bennett's came out to £856 or something pathetic, and unfortunatley h&r (insurance 2000) don't quote for Northern Ireland Crying or Very sad

Well if you can be bothered this will keep you busy for a while Laughing

https://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-insurance/

Phoning will get you much better results than online quotes as well.

When i did quotes for my FZR online was the cheapest option. Depends on your luck and circumstances.

Sorry have missed the point to this question... Rolling Eyes Are you asking how much your insurance will drop, IF you pay by monthly installments. I infact think you pay MORE overall if you pay monthly.

Please do correct me if i`m wrong anyone... Shocked

You do pay more if you do it via installments, however it can still end up being less than your previous year's premium - if they want a total of £100 interest and your premium went down £200, you're still paying £100 less.
(Just rough numbers btw, I have no idea how much interest you'd get charged on average)

Insurance generally is more expensive in N.I isn't it though? You can haggle all you want with the other providers, but DO go back to carole nash, because in the end of the day, they were willing to match my cheapest offer and keep me as their customer - then i decided to crash the bike into a car on the last day of my policy before it was up for renewal! Hi

NI insurance is far more expensive than on the mainland, and most insurers will not touch NI. Hence the silly quotes.

All the best
