Come on guys... the Fiesta drivers are catching up
Stand up for your right to blow away scooby's while wearing things that suggest you're just "havin' a larf" ____________________ "I feel the need..." |

Hi G,
What can I say, I'm probably not very trendy but hey, they appeal to my sense of the absurd... (like me & a mate buying a 30 quid cd175 and an old set of Barry Sheene leathers and then racing the local 17'ers on their rg/tzr/ns125's (dates it doesn't it ). REALLY pi**ed them off tough when we could grind knee sliders on a CD and they couldn't on what was then brand new stuff )
1. Fair point, but they're still rare enough on my commute to stop people in their tracks.
2. You're entitled to your opinion, but perhaps the point IS that they look stupid!?
3. They attract attention like nobody's business from the cagers, if he's laughing at the ears at least he's noticed me and isn't wiping me out as he changes cassetes/talks on the mobile/plays with himself!
4. I specifically chose an Aria RV 'cos it has no tubes/stick out vents/bells whistles etc to make wind noise, it's better than any others I've tried and the ears make NO difference As to the aerodynamics... if I need that extra 1/2 mile an hour... well I'll take the GPz
Nice to hear from you tho', and say what you like, if I couldn't take a joke I wouldn't wear them!!!

I have to second that- not my kinda thing. They make me think of people who buy helmets with 'magic roundabout' characters or dennis the menace painted all over them They're also the type who wear santa hats on top of their helmets at christmas- but I like that idea.
But if you fell like sticking fake ears on your lid then you should go ahead- but how do they stick on, do they not damage your helmet?

I bought a pair
But before you start flaming me, let me just say I only wore tham once and for a good cause!!
I bought then for a fiver and stuck em on my lid for the kid's easter run (as in easter bunny). It happens around here every year, 1000 bikes all take an easter egg or toy to the childrens hospital and we all travel over there in force at about 30mph, its a really good turnout, and we hae a good blast on the way home. I tried to lose the ears in the wind, but didn't suceed and in the end I got home and read that they had been tested to 170mph on the packaging. WHO THE FUCK TESTED THEM??? They remind me of those tiger tails that the mods used to stock on their lambrettas. Has anyone seen Quadrophenia? good film. Its done from the mod's point of view but I can't help laughing in this one scene where the rockers overtake them and push them off their scooters
Thankfully we now live in more enlightened times |

Idiot! Puttin on those furry ears is about the least cool thing you can do this side of taking a dump without droppin ur pants. I guess at christmas too you decorate yer bike with tinsel on the bar ends. ____________________ Vrooooom......ahhhhhh....crash!!!!!!! |

Now now Johnny, keep your hair on Its been a long time since I learned when to take a dump, and when not to! It's also been a few years now since I had to worry too hard whether other people thought I was cool Never decorated my bike with tinsel, but if I felt the need, other peoples opinions wouldn't worry me overmuch... after all, they've got to catch me to tell me and most of the ones who're most concerned with what other people think are the least experienced
If you don't like them, cool, if you do, also cool, life's too short mate
PS the fastest AND most laid back rider I've ever met rode a plain black Z1000 with high bars and no obvious modifications, all the superbike riders laughed at him... and then he absolutely blew them away we nearly wet ourselves laughing a few times! and no, I couldn't hold a candle to his riding but my point is - "cool" is not what you wear/ride/say, it's who you are
Keep on bopping,

Although it may sound a little sad, hats off to people who wear them in my opinion. I cant do with people who buy and NSR as a first bike, buy full one piece racing leathers, knee sliders, tinted visor, cut down plate etc and call themselves a devout hardenned biker.
I saw a guy on a modded gorgeous Fazer the other day wearing them. Alright they looked pretty daft, but at least he had sense of humour ____________________ Like shit off a stick |

By the way....even if I could afford 1 piece race leathers I don't think I would have them because they are unpractical if you go anywhere and can't take a jacket off........but most importantly....... they don't show off my figure ____________________ A big enough hammer fixes anything! |
