These are the first additions for Trillian which I've been using.

I've done this with trillian 2, but I think it should work with trillian 1, providing you edit the .xml file.
You will need version 1.7 of the xml file, it won't work with other versions. ight be worth checking this before you extract the files.

You can either grab the attached .zip and unzip it to the root of C, which will put the files in the default install directory, or you can copy the two .gif files to your trillian emoticon directory ('C:\Program Files\Trillian\stixe\plugins\TP16Emoticons-16x16' on my computer).

Then edit the .xml file:
Add the following to the top of the file:
Code:
   <bitmap   name="icon_rolleyes"   file="../../stixe/plugins/tp16emoticons-16x16/icon_rolleyes.gif"/>
   <bitmap   name="yay"            file="../../stixe/plugins/tp16emoticons-16x16/emot-yay.gif"/>

Then add the following inside <group text="Extra Symbols" initial="1">:

Code:
<emoticon text= ":roll:"><source name= "icon_rolleyes"  left=" 0" right=" 16" top="0" bottom="16"/></emoticon>
<emoticon text= "\o/" sound="sndCheer"><source name= "yay"  left=" 0" right=" 24" top="0" bottom="24"/></emoticon>

I mis-read that - I thought there was going to be a trillion smilies in your post! Laughing

I don't even know what Trillian is so I'll shut up now. Neutral

All the cool people use it to get into the BCF chat room. It's an IRC client.

Arrghhh... she talks of "chat" yet without meeting people. What are these "clients" she talks of? Are they local people?

I can only get into chat when I come home to Scotland as my crappy work Macs don't seem to be able to get in for whatever reason. Even when I do get in there's no smilies or any options for me - is that what Trillian does then?

/me dreams of being cool like the other kids... Cool

It's a magical world of smileys, sound effects and people bitching about each other. Cool

Would someone be so kind as to point us in the general direction of where we can download Trillian?
I'm just feeling lazy and can't be arsed to search for it! Embarassed

OK, If you have the above here are some additions. You DO need the previous smiley pack for it to work though.

Unzip it into the root of your drive that trillian is installed on.

Trillian needs to be installed like this "(drive letter):\program files\trillian"

unzip this part into "(drive letter):\" and the files will be unzipped into the correct directory.

it adds (hood) and (tumbleweed) Smile

Enjoy! Very Happy

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
