Currently have £260 for a project bike , what sort of bike would I get for this money ? I will have around the £300 mark soon though.
Any ideas what bikes are good, cheap, fun and have lots of spares around for them ?

why not finish the cb750 that you have??
or rebuild the one you blew up,
i bought a gs500 for £300 but it didnt need anything doing to it and is still running now after 30000 miles have been added, i swear gs500's a bomb proof Very Happy
finish a project before you start the next!! or your house will end up looking like a motorcycle breakers, and you wont have a single running bike before long Very Happy

Can I just ask, for a 15 year old with no job where do you get all your money from your always buying or doing something.
Its drugs isn't it.
Am I right.

I don't drink, like most "kids" my age do, and I save any money I do get.

Humnz, The cb is for sale.
What year was the GS you bought ?

I wish I was rich as you when I was 15.

£300? I'd spend it on an Xbox360.

Save the money and put it towards a proper manual bike when you're 16 instead of a moped... Thumbs Up

the klr's are great bikes, i had a 95 gs500 dont buy tobys his is cursed Very Happy
if i had 300 quid to just blow on a bike i think i would be looking in the direction of a dt250 or a or any 2 stoke especially old reliable ones. which he rm250 isnt
a h100 or a a100 a rsx100, i think you should prep yourself for when you can do your cbt, a wee little poject that you can actually ride on the road when you pass your test.

No shame at all in getting a Bantam, they're damn cool.

You could easily buy and do up a Honda CD200 within the £260 budget. I bought mine for £100 and spent about £50 repairing it. They aren't fast, desirable or rare but they look good, are good fun, very economical and incredibly cheap. Judging by the number still around after 25-30 years they've got to be fairly rugged too.

Edit: I spend too long writing posts...
