Apart from this festive 2 weeks usually go twice a week.
My routine used to be;
45 mins weight training.
1hr teadmill.
30 mins rowing machine.
30 mins exercise bike.

When i return tomorow i'm going to replace 1/2 hr on treadmill for 1/2 hr on cross trainer.

Still pushing to get in better shape Crying or Very sad

Interval training on treadmill, averages about 9kmph.
Rowing machine max resistance 5km.
Exercise bike, switch up to as much as i can pedal then go faster till i can pedal no more.

Thats 2hrs cardio in there.

I just aiming to be a bit cut and have a tad more muscle....and shift this last bit of belly.

kool in that case, lower the intensity of the treadmill. That will eat into the fat. Interval training increases stamina/ endurance but doesnt tend to lose fat as people would think.

The key to getting your abs showing is to lose that last bit of body fat. not to do situps. everyone has abs, just most people have fat around them.

Do some weight/resistance training and then hit the treadmill. its supposed to burn alot more calories that way.

Keep it up. Thumbs Up

The intensity lowers itself anyway after a bit if you know what i mean Laughing

I know, i have a good set underneath the little layer of flab.

Read the routine, that is what i do Wink

The way i lost the other 3 stone was mostly just cycling.
Body fat is slowly (not counting holiday gain Laughing ) coming down which is what im looking for, think i will be happy with around 15%, might go lower though, last time i checked i was 19% and i think i look fat still so we'll see if im happy with the look at 15.

Hey,

I had trial run at the Gym, but i found i spent 3/4 of my time either in the Sauna, Steam Room etc

So instead i stuck to my routine of running, swimming, and Jujitsu. Which goes something like this:

Monday
Running ~2miles
Weights
Situps-140
Pressups-40

Tuesday
2 Hrs Jujitsu

Wednesday
Running ~2miles
Weights
Situps-140
Pressups-40

Thursday
1hrs Swimming ~ 60 lengths

Friday
Running ~2miles
Weights
Situps-140
Pressups-40

Saturday
Day off
Lots of drinking

Sunday
2hrs Jujitsu

Im 6' and weigh 11St 12Lbs the last time i looked. So i've lost roughly 2St over 6 months. My body fat is roughly 14%, and i aim to have it down to 12%.

Another plus is the buzz you get from running that little bit extra, doing them few more pressups or lifting that little bit more weight.

I don't think you need to pay a gym membership to get in shape.

Shaun

I go to the gym, play ice hockey though, never going to be 'slim and athletic' (Laughing).
Still need to shift a bit but I'm getting there, 6' and about 13 stone.

Focus mainly on weight training at the gym, tend to get my CV from hockey, skating, running, mtb etc. Agree with Shaun, you don't need a gym, just makes things easier.

Monday - 3 hours kickboxing/ JKD

Tuesday - Upper body Split

Wednesday - Lower body split

Thursday - 3 hours Kickboxing/ JKD

Friday - Full body workout

Might do some stuff over the weekend, but can hardly be arsed at the mo.

It would take to long to put each workout, rep ranges, rest intervals, weight etc.

Abs are made in the kitchen. Eat right and they will come through.

You taking creatine monohydrate, ethyl ester or phosphate?

I would recommend taking creatine monohydrate with nitric oxide (NO2). Gives big results.

By the way, i run a supplement company specialising in natural products with no buking agents etc. If You want anything, give me a bell. Thumbs Up

And yup, abs are made in the kitchen

You could save yourself ££'s & make your own protein shakes, & creatine only costs a couple of quid as well, & that's for the purist stuff.

One of you guys who know what you are talking about can point me in the right direction then, as I'm not getting what I want and I'm not convinced about the "personal trainers" at the gym.

I'm 6'2, 17st 9... although I'll say 18st after the amount of shite I got at xmas Crying or Very sad

Thats not too bad though, couple of years back I was a Jerry Springer case 25st!
Heading for death there! Laughing Rolling Eyes

Anyway, been going to the gym for about 14 months now, and I dont seem to be losing much weight. I'm happy with getting toned bits here and there, my shoulders, arms and legs, but still a fat cunt around the belly and arse.

What I've been doing is ...

20 minutes cross trainer
20 minutes treadmill
20 minutes either bike/rowing machine

then 3 sets of 12 on all of the machines, forgive me cant for the life of me remember the fucking names at the minute, but there are 9 of them
(used to be trying to lift the maximum I could do on all of these until I heard it was better to more reps&less weight, to burn fat?)

then another 5 on the rowing machine

try to do this 3 times a week, sometimes can only manage twice.
In the summer I try to go running a couple of miles every other night too, but thats died a death.
Have a fear of going swimming in case Captain Ahab starts chasing me about! Laughing

Speak oh wise ones!

i heard the best way to loose weight was,

20 secs of sprinting, 10 secs of jogging

for 4 mins

seems quite tiring to me, but saw in mens health magazine, its been proven to work. Confused

i swim competetivley.

usually 32 length warm up. kick pull etc. take 10 mins, then some sprints say 50m on 40 - 50 seconds depending on what the trainers set, usually go through about 25 50's in about 15 mins, non stop, then some I.M's varrying between 100m, 200m, and 400m, the 100's are usually off of 1.45, do say around 20 of them in 15 mins. Then usually some easy work, 400m swim (16 lengths) easy say 5 - 10 mins, then something to easy finish it off, like 10 50's on 1 min, working on turns, stroke count etc.
so in total of 1 hours swimming
usually around 150 - 200 lengths and hour...

do this 2 nights a week, and on the third its a 2 hour swim so about 300 -400 lengths in that sesion.

i think the last long distance swim i done i did 250 lengths in an hour...
