I want an sv 650 in the near future. I'm 6"3. Will I fit on it alright? I will get down to the local dealer to see if theres one I can sit one, but for now I thought I'd ask if theres anyone else who is in/has been in my position.

thanks

I think the bandit has the same seat height as the sv? but probably a slightly wider seat. will changing the rearsets give me a comfortable position?

You should be OK tbh but i guess it depends if you have long legs or not. I'm 6 2 and I'm very comfortable on my Hornet 6.

Everyone's different. What i find comfortable, you might find back cripplingly bad. Ive heard of people on here of your sort of height having sports 400's and feeling absolutly fine. I'm 6" 1 and i could never ride a 400 with any degree of comfort.

I would've thought you could just about get away with an SV650. You might find you get cramping in your legs as they are bent so much though. You have to try it to find out.

As kind of said above

Your ergonomics are pretty much inidvidual to you. Ratios of leg length, arm length and back length can all be different to someone else who has exactly the same height.

What your body will tolerate in terms of position can be very different as well - certain seating positions on Bikes cause my hips to semi dislocate for example.

If you really want an SV you are best off getting yourself down to a dealer, having a chat with a salesman and spending as much time sat on one as you can.

thanks for all the replies. I'll try and sit on one at the dealers.maybe someone can hold it upright so I can get both my legs up and hav a real feel of the bike.sadly, because I'm still 33bhp restricted, I cant test ride one.

Just like Bittern, I also rode an SR 125. I found that comfortable so hopefully the sv will be ok.I think most of my height is in my torso, rather than my legs.
