Tongue Splitting ??

So does anyone out there have it done and can give me some feedback on the process etc.

I'm looking at getting it done and have had the usual chats with my piercer who himself has it done.
I've also spoken to 1 other, but I would like some more input before jumping in and getting it done.

Ultimately I'm trying to get an average healing time across a few people who have it done and general experience with any speech issues.

If you do, how was it done and roughly how long until you were able to speak normally.

I run a call centre and often have to handle complaint calls so tis important that I have time off work to get it done and am speaking well enough when I return to work.

I have never met anyone who has a snakey tongue thing, had to google it to see exactly what it involved!

Why do you want this doing, out of interest?
Does it have some kind of meaning / bonus?

No it's not something overly common and I guess that is part of the attraction.
I have quite a few piercings and I guess this just seems like a natural evolution to me.

No real meaning other than it's kind of a secret mod that people will only see if you want them to see it..

I also get a slight rush out of doing this sort of thing and often the emotion and confidence of going through something relatively extreme can be very empowering.

Actually I'm getting some pretty strong feedback from women saying they wouldn't kiss a guy with this done.
So I'd be keen to get the female populations input on how they would respond to it and if it would put them of or otherwise .

Any opinion is welcome positive or otherwise.

My piercer is very competent, is medically trained and able to answer all of my questions and even travels internationally performing various works.
I would not be considering it if i had any doubts in his ability to perform the moddification.
Still can't beat getting a good cross section of responses before you make a move like this.

I have a few months before I can get this done if i go ahead with it and figured it wouldn't hurt to throw out the net and see what sort of information I can gather.

these kind of procedures have become more popular recently due to the fashion aspects of it i think, i do maybe one or two a month, they look more painfull than they are its mainly just like having a peircing,also we do alot of dermal implants, did u see the one on the back of the body mod guys hand, now them things fucking hurt, me i havent actually got any other than tounge pierced and ears and knob, as they dont ppeal to me but i find them great fun to do, especially when its finished, i too didnt agree with the guy being laid as far back as that, i normally have them sat in a chair slightly reclined just incase they vomit or anything coz believe me it happens lol, if u have any wuestions u need answering about these kind of procedures ill be happy to help or even show u my apprentices labia implants lol

Are you in employment or are you self employed? When you say you are going to have time off I can only presume you will be taking holidays? I can't imagine any employer paying you or even allowing unpaid absence for what is basically self mutilation?
Each to their own I suppose, but I really cant understand why anybody would want to do such a thing.
