Over christmas i rode from Nottingham to London on my GT125r, all panniered up with presents etc, great fun! , had an awesome christmas then enjoyed the ride back.
Through my door this morning, i find a Pcn asking me for £120 for the pleasure of stopping to ask for directions in Stockwell.

Apparently contravention code "46 Stopped where prohibited (on a red route or clearway)" accompanied by two pornographic photos of the dirty arse end of my bike.

I pulled into a bus stop for a minute maximum to ask for directions, hopped on and off i went.

Do i appeal against this or bend over for ken?

Am i right in thinking that if i respond/appeal within the 14 days, i am only liable to pay £60 ?

Will add the pictures soon.

Any advice gratefully appreciated, just pissed off thats £2 a second for being lost Thumbs Down

Knowing how they think it might be rather futile to appeal as redroutes have big signs everywhere saying "redroute no stopping", not that it helps much but next time just go up onto the pavement and you will be fine!

Tell me about it, on my way to work I pass speed cameras, red light cameras, bus lane cameras, redroute cameras and I think yellow box junction cameras!

Red light zone is a big no-no. Sadly I think you'll be on a hiding to nothing with this.

Give it a try, you got nothing to lose and all to gain, but stopping in a bus stop won't help.

I'd be tempted to say that you were broken down. Your bike was suffering from intermittent electrical problems and as it turned out you were able to fix the bike yourself at the roadside without the need for contacting your breakdown company. Wink

If you appeal then if they decide you still have to pay then the 14 day timer starts again.
