6 lanes both ways starting from around the M4 area extending to beyond M3 area i think (passed sign too fast to absorb all the info)

works start early Jan, and expected completion of december 05 Shocked

the sign read "Expect Delays"

stupid smug piss taking sign Evil or Very Mad

Merry Christmas Wink Confused

[edit] meant to have a point, i reckon this is a majorly stupid idea as people cant even handle 3 lanes as it is, never mind the next 2 years of suffering an even worse traffic situation than that stretch currently is 90% of the time

any thoughts?

More lanes > less lanes.

Especially if they wangle another reserved bike *ahem* bus lane.

The M4 one's ok, there's maybe 2 speed cameras and you know where they are.

It's just nice to breeze past all the cars in your very own lane. Cool

Just read that there will be a 40mph limit imposed for the entire two years of roadworks, even at night. That means all those gantry gatsos will be permanently on - whereas before they were sensible enough to ignore you if the variable limit wasn't in force. Bugger Confused

Pathetic and way too late. Friend used to work for the Department of Transport doing road planning in that area. He told me over 10 years ago that they had calculated it needed 9 lanes in each direction.

Suppose it is what you get when you only build one of the 3 planned London orbital motorways.

All the best

The idea is that you get straight into the lane for your exit and stay there, should have some kind of spiral-ish road pattern, where you get closer to the middle as your exit nears.
Should be a fucking crack for filtering Very Happy
