Hello, I could possibly be moving to Engerland.

South London to be precise. Are there certain areas that are exceptionally cheaper to rent than others? Without being in a really scummy place. The property itself isn't important as long as two people can sleep without having our toe rings stolen during the night.

My dad moved to england around 30 years ago and it was expensive then, How does it compare to around £350 for a 3 bed house in an average estate over here.
Has to be within 15 mins walking distance from the centre.

london and money do not mix, no chance for that sort of money, 1 bed apartments go for nearley 300 grand if there within walking distance of a tube in london.
That could get you a 3 bedroom house just outside london.

You'll be lucky to get a half-decent room in a shared flat for that.

You also won't be getting a decent house for that anywhere within commuting distance of London.

Go to Wales, the North of Britain or parts of Scotland and you may get a 3 bed house for about £500 PCM. London no way! I just noticed that he needs to be no more than a quarter of a hour walk from the centre, I am not taking the piss but have you seen a map of London? It is a big place, even to walk from Lambeth Palace to the Admiralty takes twice that long.

Avoid South London like the plague!

Too many reasons for me to describe, it is cheaper, but you will get far more scallies and chavs.

I reccommend West london, Ruislip/Harrow, can be a bit pricey but its mostly aspiring middle class asian families, whos children, want to be 'gangsta' just dont have it in em... so your bike will likely be safer...

My Dads just sold his flat and is renting a bedsit in Paddington for 6 months at £1600pm, its nice but tiny.

I rent a 3 bed in Norwich and thats £595pm and is a 15 mins commute (if you own a plane) or 1 hour 45mins on the train from London.
The closer you get to London the more the prices go up, although so do wages normally.

My Mum sold our old 5 bed,three story house in Herne Hill SE London with large rear garden and over looking a park for 110K before the property boom in 1994, you can't even buy a 1 bed flat for double that in the same area now Sad

The one bedroom basement flat next door to me, (in north London) is up for rent for £240pmth. It has a little bit of garden and is 5 mins walk to the tube, trains and buses so you could be in central London in 15 mins. Living in London as I do, I don't think I would ever choose to live south of the river although saying that, there are good and bad bits of every where, I just wouldn't know where the good bits are.

well I live oin Balham

northern line about 20-25 mins from centre. I share a room with my girlfriend in a 2 bedroom flat.

I pay £400 for half the room so basically our room is 800 a month which is pretty steep but it is a pimp flat.

Your gonna be looking to spend around 500-600 a month in a nice london area with tube access

I'm way out of London now, thankfully. We have just put an offer on a decent 3 bed house, in a good area for £101k. My missus is earning 7k a year more and I am earning 3k a year more than we did in London. The same house down south would be more than double that. It does mean I have to do without traffic, wankers, stress and immigrants, but we seem to be coping.

Get my friends and family out and drop a bomb on the place Thumbs Up

TROUBLED pop diva Britney Spears was in hiding today being comforted by her new boyfriend - a paparazzi photographer from Birmingham.

The 26-year-old star skipped hospital to take refuge with a man who once hounded her, 35-year-old snapper Adnan Ghalib from Small Heath.

Spears, last seen strapped to a stretcher as she was carried from her house after a custody row with her ex, has described the devout muslim as "my only true friend in the world".

Ghalib, who is separated from his wife, is holed up in a Hollywood mansion with three other paparazzi as he tries to broker a multi-million dollar media deal.

Spears was at the centre of a three hour stand-off with cops at her Beverly Hills home last week as her children Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, looked on.

His mom lives about 500 yards from my place. If she does come to live on Whitacre Rd I hope to fyck that Paris Hilton does not move into a place on Charles Rd to be close to her mate, The next thing will be bloody Christene Angulera opening a kebab shop on Muntz St and Justine Timberlake serving petrol over the road from the big mosque in Golden Hillock Rd.
