Right as im struggling for money again, and keep going out. Is there any long term FPS apart from Crysis or UT3 for the pc or RPG's in the Style of Zelda i can buy?

Half life 2 whats that like? also far cry never played either.

Plus any similar 360 games that have longetivity except COD 4 and PGR4 already have them!

Plus, if im bored of them, any other activities that i can do to keep me interested indoors while i take a month or 2 off from going out?

I need to stop going out drinking, for health reasons, the fact that it will help me stop smoking and also im trying to get straight and sort the money situation out so i can go and do my bike test when it gets a bit warmer.

Suggestions, for nights in, what to do.

You could buy Morrowind and Oblivion and cut off your internet supply for a while.

As above, if it's a game, I recently got Steam and Counter Strike Source (CSS) and it's great.

I think he was probably referring to my spelling and grammer, or rather the lack of it.

My education will be the first thing on my mind come september if i get into uni, still waiting. Having applied for Salford, Uclan and Manchester met.

Considered getting fit also, trying to build muscle? Any suggestions.

Find a genre of books you like, get a pile from a charity shop?

I'll usually go buy a book, and then hole up for an entire day because I can't put the damn thing down.

Last book I bought was "AirFrame" by Michael Crichton, read 400 pages in the space of about 10 hours.

Well why not prepare a for your course, get some books in a study. What you learn now will stand you in good stead if you get in. Should also make life a bit easier once on the course as you won't have to cram as much info in a short time.

I would also go with get some books to read from car boots and charity shops and chill to some music, while just relaxing.

Maybe you are spending on items you don't actually need. Did you really need a new monitor? I doubt it.

Probably, but it was money from my birthday, no point spending that on bills.

Well im totally buggered as im now jobless, so i have to find something quite sharpish.

ZRX61, i apologise then for misinterpreting what you put. I do need to learn something tho, and i need to get a grip of my life.

I said it to you a few weeks ago.

You seem unable to save money, I can see you in 10 years being in more debt than a student.

You need some self control.

I am £120 in the black, with a £1000 overdraft.

Now I really want a nice Widescreen monitor, a 8800GT graphics card and an Xbox 360, theoretically I could buy them right now and believe me I am highly frigging tempted, but I know that I do have bills to pay, my car insurance renewal will be around quick enough.

My Dad said this to me at a very young age, before you buy something think; "Do I really need it?" If not, don't bother, the feeling of impulse will pass.

Jon's got a F'kin good point. My dad always taught me: If you can't afford it, do without.

I was and still kind of a sucker for the odd impulse buy which is a drastic waste of dosh so borderline stopped now cos I just shove the money I would spend in a savings sum. Cool (or in a tin box you can't get it out of).

Hey,

I've always been in the frame of mind that if you can't afford it then don't buy it. However i know thats always easier said than done, i still find myself buying things i don't really need but can't resist Very Happy

When i go to buy something expensive then i always ask myself:

-Do i need it?
-Can i afford it?
-Will i actually use it?

If i can answer yes to all those then i'll buy it otherwise i'll wait till i'm in the position to buy it.

I've always stayed miles in the black and never gone into the red, just by spending wisely and saving where i can Thumbs Up
The money i have saved from avoiding impulse buys is now enough to pay for at least a years rent and bills on a place of my own when i move out this year sometime Thumbs Up

Shaun.
