Well... lemme put it this way, My bike has a 1 piece exhaust system from front to back. Nothing can come off, nothing can be added on.

I was on my way to work this morning at 11:45pm (I work nights) just got about 200 yards from my work place shifting down the gears slowing down to go round the round about then out of the blue, BANG! my exhaust splits into 2 halfs! the bike was really noisey and I thought nothing of it, thinking my baffle flew out the end again, but when i got to work and checked the baffle, was all ok. Then I saw this dirty great crack all away around the exhaust just before the muffler. "Oh shit" I said.

Now... I have 3 choices. (4 if you have any better ideas Thumbs Up )

1. Try and bandage the exhaust up best as I can and making the exhaust looking red arse baboon ugly.

2. Chop the muffler off and ram a baffle in the downpipe.

3. Buy a secondhand exhaust from germany at 75euros and not knowing if it will fit.

Please excuse the dodgy photo, taken from phone.

I would say that is in 2 pieces right now.

You couldnt what a baffle down the exhaust, it doesnt work like that and would probably mess up the fueling.

I would try a few breakers and see if they have anything better. If not 75 euro's isnt too bad....

Bandages rarely last long enough to make them worthwhile.

You would be better pop riveting an old tin can smothered in exhaust paste in place.

You might get someone to weld it up.

Generally when they go like that the are pretty much next to useless so you will probably have to get one eventually anyway. If it was me and I was being cheap I would be looking at whats going cheap on Ebay and working out how to get it to fit.
