Bit of help please

Right doing my personal statement for uni. Everything else is done and its detailed and up to the required length.

However, i need an opening line or paragraph of some sort, preferably line.

Now i have explained why i have chosen the course first ( DIP HE Adult nursing) but just need this little bit of help as i have sort of run out of inspiration.

Plus i think starting a personal statment with the line

" The reason i have chosen dip he Adult nursing ................."

frankly sounds a bit shit. Any suggestions.

Just put

" The reason i have chosen dip he Adult nursing ................."

Is that I feel that it is a very important function of society of which I feel I could excel within. I feel that I am suited to nursing because (insert your qualities here) , and that I am conciencious and consider that it to be a career path which has a future.

I enjoy working with people and that I feel the interaction with people of a wide cross section of society I would enjoy and would give a positive experience. As I feel that an alternative career such as an office job would not allow me to experience this.

pad all of the above out a bit.


WHATEVER YOU DO do not diss (thats right for Bolton Chav speak right?) other careers and or people etc just stating positive reasons why you want to do it...



Its not like they won't let you in , Universities are corporations now turning you away would be turning away paying customers.

Sorted i'll go along with that. Hoping to get in for March start date at Salford. So im pushing it a bit fine. But if not march then september will do. Sooner the bloody better. Start the ball rolling to actually having a career i want and also the chance to erm get my end away at Uni is also a bonus, ive missed being a student bum
