Hi,

{public service announcment in deep voice}

The following advert is posted on behalf of a friend. Any questions please contact me via PM in the first instance. Thankyou.

{/public service announcment in deep voice}

1978 Daimler Sovereign 4.2 Long Wheel Base

84,000 Miles
Dark blue
Blue Velour Interior
P.A.S
Recon Auto Box
Refurbished Subframes
All new suspension and suspension bushes etc
15" Wolfrace Slotmag Alloys with 205/70/15 tyres
FULL brake overhaul (Calipers, pads, discs, pipes all reconditioned or replaced)

The engine is not standard to the vehicle. Whilst the capacity is correct (4.2) it was taken out of a low mileage Jaguar Coupe at which time, the donor vehicle was showing approx 13,000 miles. Since completion, the car has only covered approx 1,000 since as the previous owner was suffering from ill health. The current owner taxed it and ran it after it was left to him in a will. Owing to the fact that it was less economical than his daily car, it saw little use again. Since being taken off the it has been in secure storage. Equipped with 2" SUs ("No wonder it goes so well!"), electronic ignition and a manual choke kit, its a strong performer, and in EXCELLENT mechanical order.

Negatives

Rust. The bodywork is cosmetically tatty. The arches are scabby, and the doors have a light patch of rust here and there. However, there are also a few dinks from useage (it is, afterall, a 29 year old car!)

Overall, It is solid underneath in all the tricky areas. For someone with the right skills, it would make an excellent project car.

Little work would see this car MOT'd for a rolling resto. Located in North Wales about 20 mins from chester Smile

The owner is looking for £1500 or near offer. Sensible offers will be considered.

Disclaimer: No Spammers, scammers or tyre kickers. No "TXT TLK" or other such stuff either. Thanks Smile

Better photos will be available as soon as possible and the dust shown is from MDF being cut on the other side of the warehouse Smile
