I saw some of his stand up on youtube, i honestly couldn't stand anymore than 10 - 15 mins of it.

I saw him on Big fat quiz of the year 2007 and 2008 and i found him and his partner incredibly funny.

What do you guys think?

Also is his book worth a read?

No, he's another hyped-up wanker like the Little Britain pair, Pete Docherty, Peter Kay, Amy Winehouse, etc--basically his only function serves to be built up as high as possible before we knock him off his pedestal with some scandal.

Russel "Marmite" Brand.

I love him. Cant help it, he just makes me giggle.

I like Noel Fielding slightly more though Thumbs Up (his partner on BFQOTY, and one of a pair of geniuses that created the Mighty Boosh)

Mighty Boosh is another thing I hate. Both are almost trying too hard to be funny; it's like when you go to a party and there's always the one person there going "OH GOD, I'M WACKY, I AM. I'M SO CRAZY. THIS ONE TIME I SHOWED UP TO SCHOOL WITH PANTIES ON MY HEAD AND THE TEACHER WAS LIKE OH GOD. GEORGIE, YOU'RE SO WACKY."

Lol I'm bored.

Fair enough.

But random on the spot humour is what I likes best, and Noel has it in bucketfuls Thumbs Up

Peter Kay, Yes, but getting a bit tired. He just seems to do the same jokes over and over again.
Bill Bailey. Yes. definately.
Russel Brand. Not. Not funny at all. Jo Brand, Not funny. Maybe its the name?
Jack Dee. Now he's funny. Jimmy Carr, also funny.
And I know i'll get slated for this, But Bernard Manning. He did make me laugh.

Russell Brand irritates me because he knows he’s pretty quick witted, and he’s a bright lad. He hangs around with all the right people to which means his face pops up everywhere.

This sentence alone deems anything you say about humour is absolute tripe.

Hmmm, not quite. But I know what you mean about crazy people.
What you mean is, you have a certain humour about yourself, you may be from a generation of comedians you see as the top dogs and as comedy evolves, you shake your fist at this sort of thing because you want your funny man back.
It may be a surprise to you that a show such as Mighty Boosh takes a fuck load of effort to write and produce, it’s very in your face and rather slapstick at times. But never the less, its comedy.

Yes, since you asked I find him massively funny.

He especially cracked me up when he was on The Graham Norton show and spent most of the time looking round in an extremely bored way - excellent Very Happy

Plus it obviously helps that he's got a bit of the old 'Jack Sparrow' thing going on.

He's like Jeremy Clarkson.

You think he's funny for a bit, so you watch him, and then you think "You attention-seeking overopinionated twonk".

And you go off him again.

And then you give him another chance for a bit, and then go off him again, reasonably quickly.

Yep, he's a genius and his book is well worth a read, by far the best book I've read recently.

He was shite on the big brother stuff he did, his stand up is much funnier and he was brilliant with noel fielding.

Was a bit disappointed when I went to see his standup as the audience seemed to consist of more people that were interested in trying to shag him than trying to listen to his comedy, to the effect his set was really short, and then everyone waited outside and he came out to sign autographs and stuff, I'd rather he just had a longer set but I think I was one of the minority that did.

Russel Brand is OK.

But at the mo, my favourite comedians are Noel Fielding (Absolutely love The Mighty Boosh) and Ross Noble, but unfortunately he hasn't got any live dates coming up.

Russell Brand is enoyable to watch on chat shows but don't really like he's stand up.

Recently saw a clip of Michael Mcintyre, definitely a fan now.
Brilliant.

They're not trying too hard, just got a strange sense of humour, Russel brand on the other hand is just a hyperactive spastic.

Russel Brand is the biggest wank stain on this planet, why does he go on about all that "spiritual guidance" shit. Attention seeking tight trousered, small cocked smacktard.

Jimmy Carr all the way, quick witted and audience involving. Racist, sexist, homophobic, prejudice.....ahhhh all the best rolled into one Thumbs Up

And Frankie Boyle is a good laugh too
