I met this girl sunday while i was at work and we've been texting quite a lot.

Anyway, she was asking me about my bike and explain her dad had one, she didnt want to say much because he crashed in march and died on scene.

I was just wondering if anyone knew him?

His name was - Mark Pickford (I think, that'd be her surname so i put 2&2 together)

The bike he had the accident on was a Limited Edition Kawasaki Ninja.

He lived around the Kingstanding - West Midlands area.

Thanks.

if you want to bone this girl... probably not the best idea to be probing around her dead father.
seems a little stalkerish.

i didnt hear about it btw.

Don't know about a Kawasaki, but there was a fatal accident with someone on an R1 I think in Kingstanding early/mid lastyear, rider was going way too fast, interfaced with a van, landed in a bus stop and lost his head apparently (so obviously dead at scene). Was told his name was Dalton but that wasn't an official source. He also took out a girl crossing the road.

I like the girl but i dont want to bone her.

Her and her mum were talking and they kept bringing up her father, so, well it obviously bothers them, but i mean, they're over the part where they're upset all the time.

Still, it wouldn't be a great idea to ask her to talk about him.

She knows quite a bit about models of bikes and cars so i think she'd get the bike right, so im sure it was a 'Saki.

I just wanted to find something out about him, they seem like a really nice family and the man who her mum is with now was her husbands best friend and has a bike, cannot remember which model because i didnt get a good look at it.

Thanks anyway.

I don't think I would, if I died and left a family I'd want them to be happy and looked after, can't think of a person who'd do that better than my best mate, I'd much rather it be him than someone who's going to hurt/abuse/whatever my family.

Now if I was alive then yeh I'd be very pissed off about the whole thing Wink.

So i guess it wasnt that one.

If there's something you need to know about her dad, she'll tell you when she's ready.

Not gonna learn much from "he hit a van head-on and died at the scene", though, are you?

To be fair, my first reaction was "dead cheap insurance" but I realized and changed my post. Also a golf is better than Polo so there's your answer. As for her.... just be nice and wait then stuff will come out when she's comfortable.

Okay, thanks guys.

Golf is too expensive for a first car on insurance, or my best mate would've had one.

Check the insurance group for the car your interested in.

Or, put in your desired group HERE, and it will tell you what cars you should look at.

If you can, wait til you have passed your car test before getting insured. It shouldnt take more than 5 lessons more, and thats 100 quid, BUT

I could only get insured on my fiesta 1.6si on my dads insurance for 2300 as a learner, but when I asked how much after passing the test, she said '1150 as a quote we will send out to you now, then you can ring around and try to knock it down'

Its worth the wait my friend. If you can get on someone elses after you passed (with a smaller capacity apparently helps too Laughing ) your laughing.

I can see where your going with this thread, but like stated you should ask her about him, not us. Get talking to her if you like her and when shes ready to open up to you she will talk to you about it, i'd delete this thread now.
