Oh me, definately.

One time I tried to park the bike, it was all good; smooth braking, nicely in the space, turn the engine off and then jump off the bike.

I forgot that little thing called the sidestand, the bike falls over and I break my clutch lever.

duh.

LukeVFR also wins on this category for his 0mph lowside.

Must the same as Timmeh.
Pulled into a petrol station, for some reason forgot to put the stand down.
Pull of people....weeeee plonk, me and the bike on the floor.

Picked it up quickly and filled up.
Only scratched the engine casing slightly.

Oddly no-one wanted to look at me after that, guess me in leathers is intimidating.

Me, I went for a ride on my TLR with my rear wheel spindle only hand tight, needless to say I went fucking flying.....moral of the story, always tighten things up as soon as you put them together.

pulled up to a junction in 3rd but forgot to change gear. Bike went put, put then stalled and fell over with me on top. Managed to slide my leg out and as I helped it down + cushioned the blow there was no damage except slight mark on the bar end which was easy to repaint. Hardest bit was getting it back up with no forwards/backwards movement which would have marked the fairing and snaped the indi, phew!

my mate has to win that, a few years back he was chasing my other mate mark on his ft500, mark was on a z750 chop and they were going through porters mill, which is dodgy at speed if you don't know the roads as you have a few barns which you chicane around, a humpback bridge followed by a sharp right and straight on from the bridge is a farmers track going up a field.
https://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=52.241795,-2.203231&spn=0.003567,0.008669&z=17&om=1

so mark belts it around the barns, over the bridge, swing a right and pulled up, dave on the ft pins the throttle, bombs it around the barns, hits the bridge and lands 50ft up this farmers track with broken steering bearings Laughing apparently mark heard dave pin it, turned around to see a 6 foot tall well built fella on a ft going through the air at about 10 foot up Laughing Laughing Laughing

Cheers
John

my dumbest? has to be the one that's got me in hospital at the moment. slightly damp road, sraight line braking, rear locks, bike drifts into right kerb and pitches me off into the only solid object within a mile, namely a huge metal lamp post. "snap!" went the femur and here i stil am, trying not to go nuts and slowly healing up.

k.

Mine was on the CR in a very muddy field. Slowed down and dropped a gear to go into a corner, got it stuck in neutral. Just sailed along on it until it stopped as I am too short to get on and off it properly and then toppled over into a very mucky puddle as it stopped Embarassed Lucky there were only 3 people watching me.

I needed to do some to'ing and fro'ing with the bike for its MOT so had to stick it in the back of a transit van. I've done it several times by pushing it but thought I'm good enough to ride it up the ramps and in to the back of the van.

I'm not that good.

Got most of the way up, front wheel in when it started to stall. I gave it the mildest of blips but since the back wheel was still on the ramp and the ramp wasn't secured to the van; the back wheel just scooted them out from under the bike.

Fell over half in and half out the van. Minor ding on the rhs of the tank. Lucky and stupid all at the same time.

Cheers

I went to ride past a reversing lorry as i thought i could make the gap, i didn't. The back metal bumper knocked me clean off & my bike went underneath, only a few scuffs to the bike.

Embarassed

Second time I was out on the NTV I dropped it coming into a petrol station, (had been on for hours and didn;t realise how tired my leg was untill I tried to lean 230 kilos of Honda on it, that snapped the front brake lever.
On my way back home after that I wanted to see how fast it was Embarassed , on a straight in the middle of nowhere which is usually empty, clock read 130 when I realised the traffic ahead had stopped (bloke at rear of queue had both brake lights out, stand on rear brake and go to try a spot of greenlaning down their left hand side (went past three queuing cars on a verge before I hit a bush, the clock ended up smashed with the needle stuck at 80.

Thats an impressively stupid crash.

Oh and it was a sunny sunday afternoon, coming in the other direction was a few dozen HDs.

i had a stupid one on my 50 scoot years ago.

was coming home from school after vomiting my guts up all day, wasnt well.
Come round a corner, target fixation, hit the cerb, i narrowly missed a jogger, and my scoot narrowly missed a lampost, then promtly landed on my head.

mate came round the corner and stopped, "how you manage this one then"

.."Duno, but i bet it looked good"

Reminds me, On my way back from Squires on day I leant too far on a twisty bit and the bike flipped over to the opposite side and we went along a ditch/embankment and stopped firmly at a tree stub thing with me going over the bars.... felt weird and probably looked funny too. Will try and find pics.

I just realised when i read "wheelied past a load of cars and fell off"

To town, there is this huge road, speed limit is 30 or 40 i think but because its such a wide road and its downhill, nobody does that speed, plus its simple to get upto top speed on a 50 and its very fun.

So i saw my chance, on my 50cc..shifting through the gears, having so much fun, past a few cars, past a bus with a load of kids in, i was doing about 70mph, quick for a 50 so proud lol...anyway, it was spitting, i went round a roundabout a little too quick and the front went from under me...splat, bus went round with everyone watching me slide and a car i overtook came to help...was really nice about the whole thing, funny now i look back on it..
