Just thinking, I stuck mine in cos sometimes it can be relevent to whatever I'm posting, but I was wondering if it made me look like I was trying to show off my crappy bikes, sometimes I look at detailed ones and wonder 'why would I care what rearsets your bike has', though I'm sure people think the same about it in general.

Considered adding a "dont give a toss" option, but realised everyone would vote for that one Razz I know I would.

I have it.

I think it is nice to see the history of people and their bikes. It's good looking at people that have had 20 bikes and seeing what they've had.

The make and model are useful, if someone is giving you advice on the basis of their experience of said bike.

The mods lists, 'it had snazzy bar ends and this really cool sticker lolz!!1111one', are a bit bollocks.

I think it's handy to see if the person who is answering your question might actually have some experience of the model in particular, as opposed to the possibility they are regurgitating something their dad told them. Or, as my learned friend BlueX5 puts it, it's good for identifying n00bs Smile

Yea, they put their bike history in their sig Wink Razz.

Though, I do have mine in my 'bio' which is just as bad - it was the start of a 'my experience of bikes and why you should/shouldn't listen to me when I say twins are cack', which I never got around to finishing.

Its like a cock extension as well Laughing

God, I'd have to concentrate really hard to remember what they were.
Surely my limited brainpower is required for much more important things (like how many euros there are to a pound, and where did I put my slippers).

Is it okay if I just put "They were red/pink/blue/black and they all went 'vroom'!"?

I like mine as it links to the bikepics page, whereas the links in my profile go to the thread about the purchase or demise of the bike.

My list would be pretty long. And if Kickstart did it it would be in breach of the sig rules. Laughing

Meh, depends what you've owned and the detail. Ones like blues at the top are fine. But when you get people on here with like 'speedfight 50 - Bore kit 80. Theory: Passed DD/MM/YY Test: Booked: DD/MM/YY' I do feel like asking why they feel the urge to point it out.

Good when people put in the effort to link em to pertinent threads though. But for me sigs should be amusing or have links. Not just a long list of bikes you may of owned for a week, or had a shotty on.

Remember when i wanted a job at bikestop when ~16 i very nearly handed in a full list of bikes id ever had a shotty on Laughing Muppet

I usually skip over sigs anyway. My history (such as it is) is in my profile so if anyone actually gives a shit they can see it, but my signature space is reserved for the oh so self referential pointless joke that's already there.
