Different post.. and sorry for mentioning cars on this ub4r leet forum Very Happy

But anyway.. Heres the story...

I'm 16 Friday... Which means i have a year before i can start to drive.

On Christmas Eve my brother wrote his car of *Cat C* little damage to the front passanger side.. Anyway.. he decides after the insurance pay out.. he is getting rid of it for 300 pound lol... Anyway.. dad called me earlier.. Says to me 'Got anything planned for your 17th son?' I say no dad Smile Then he goes.. well your brother has given me his car *Accident Damaged one* and im going to fix it and its yours Very Happy

I'm so uberly excited about this as i think for free its a bargain car and easy to insure...

Car: Citroen Saxo 1.4 West coast
mileage: 60,000
Registration: T Reg Very Happy

Its not mega boy racer car or anything... Just a bog standard car with a sterio system. Very Happy

Anybody else feel my excitement tbh?

For those who wish to laugh ( I was going to get a rover metro lawl)

No performance mods or anything..

To me that front bumper doesn't look standard, but I might be wrong there. Also looks lowered, and the windows appear to have been tinted.

Don't get me wrong, tis a nice enough car for free, but trust me, you'd appreciate it a lot more if you'd actually saved up and bought yourself a car. In my experience 9 times out of 10, people who get new(ish) cars bought for them write them off fairly quickly, because they just don't appreciate them, whereas those who scrimp and save while they're 16 just to afford old bangers tend to cherish and love them.

Not trying to be a dick, just my opinion.

I completely understand mate. This was my brothers learning car but he drove it like a complete and utter twat. Also... I'd rather drive slower and be safe than fast and die... Rear windows aren't tinted its because the picture was taken in slight darkness and its under a huge tree Smile

Also its parked on a bumped so the middle bit makes the car look lower. It's worth me trying it and if i feel uncomfortable driving it then i shall merely sell it and buy myself a shit heap Very Happy

Some models come with styling like that.

The 1.4 Furio/a Whatever its called and the 1.4 westcoast.

They are styled to look like the 1.6 litre VTR/S

Enjoy the car, their not that bad really saxo, few minor issues with them. Just leave it standard and get some ncb built up. Thumbs Up

Yer the limited edition i.e west coast and furio have a Saxo VTR body kit. Some also have the wheels but i think thats where people have changed. Personally i hate standard Saxo wheels Sad

Not bad for free. Prepare to get buggered by insurance, fuel, and road tax, and want to get a bike again after a few months of driving it though.
