See the implied admission that they are using ANPR technology to track the movements of vehicles?
It was the Romanian guy. The registration of the car had been 'flagged' as having been seen near the site of a robbery. No proof they had actually been up to anything.
They pulled him over on the basis of this then proceeded to book him for not having a child seat. Now pulled for bank robbery, booked for failure to wear a seatbelt. Another win for intelligence lead policing? Or simply flagging a car as "Please hassle". There was no mention made of the reason given for the stop.
I wonder if they have any 'checks and balances' for which vehicles are flagged up in this manner?
The copppers actually admitted that this was a useful thing to do because "It allows us to keep a track of the movements of these vehicles which could be useful in case of any other incidents."
How big a step is it from this to keeping a track of everyones movements using the same technology? ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

How about her Majesty's Government having forced anal with me, just cause I am 'In the Road Fund System'? and can afford to pay the bastards. And for a stupid, worthless and time consuming throwback to the days when the Hi-way-men had the decency to wear a kerchief as disguise.
Now they arrive in a Jam Sarnie filled with more IT than Bill Gates' Garden bloody shed.

No, they didn't tell us his name. "The Romanian guy" was about as individual a description as I was able to give seeing how there were no other Romanian people appearing on the same program.
There were several people fitting the same description though so that would have been no use. "Dark hair, dark skin, kind of thin, eyes too close together..."
The REALLY interesting bit for me was the lad who was stopped for having incorrect numberplates on his car. He'd already had a written instruction to have them fixed a week previously. He was lippy as hell to the copper and was fined a grand total of £30. The coppers were unable to relate the plates to the car or the driver. He was stopped because they didn't appear on the ANPR database.
So, false plates= £30 fine. Speed past a camera at 120mph= driving ban and minimum 3-figure fine... False plates are looking like a good option! ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Definately sticky, although the copper was really aggressive with him when he pulled him out of the car. That was unneccesary IMO.
That copper was just a chav. ____________________ My Flickr |

I didnt read all the posts so this maybe mentioned.
Bloke 1 - biker, quite old, doing 90mph on motorway. Let off with a talking to.
Bloke 2 - driver - quite old - driving wrong way up a closed motorway, told off and escorted further up the motorway the wrong way.
Bloke 3 - driver, young lad in a civic. Dragged out of car, thrown into the cop car (even though he pulled over and stopped without any problem) given a 30 quid fine.
All because when he bought the car, the garage put incorrect plates on. He already had one of those 14 day things to fix it, but was only 7 days into it.
Its no wonder young lads these days have no respect for cops when they act like this with them.
The cops attitude with the lad was also shocking, and if i was in his position when i was 18/19 i would have reacted exactly the same way as he did.
He could have been old (or foreign) and had no license, insurance etc, and would have been treated better than this lad.
As for the bloke with the ladders, as said above, if you lose something, drive off and leave it instead of being honest. |

What boils my pish is when tax payer funded law enforcers give chase to some cnut who has no intention of stopping and/or has no care for anyone except himself. When eventually nabbed, using hell knows how much in revenue for choppers, cars and bikes, then his face and reg. is digitised 'To Protect His Identity'????
My Sweet Smelling Arse Crack I would.
I would drag the bastert out the car by his lips, strip the fukir naqued then beat him shitless and bloody. In-front of camera. But digitise the police officer's faces to protect their identity.
Who the fcku are the police there to protect?
Give our Boys-in-Bloo the baton round back..
I hate those 'Police Camera Non-action' programs, because there's never any real 'closure', as they say.
Good. I feel much better now. ____________________ W-ireless A-rtificial L-ifeform L-imited to O-bservation P-eacekeeping and E-fficient R-epair |
