just got my first helmet, went for this one below

my question is are black visors not ideal for a new rider in terms of visibility etc ?

thing is they look so much better than the standard clear one !!!

During in the day its like wearing sunglasses.

If you plan on being out all night have a clear one with you or ride with it up like a real man Wink

I recommend the dark smoke as iridium gets messed up far to quickly.

On the note of the HG sale, I spotted lots of leather bargains in there today, Arlen ness roo suit for 500 quid, TFL 2 jacket for 120 etc. Fuck all trousers though Sad

Seconded - my iridium visor gets scratched so easily I can't even wipe it with my glove without risking it - so it's a "dry day" only visor! The scratches don't look much from outside but on the inside they are really obvious white marks against the yellowish iridium-coated sections.
I'll be getting a dark smoke/black next as if you scratch the plastic then it's still the same colour.

I have one but now it's winter I don't wear it as it gets dark too quickly, great for the day poor for night. (Obviously)
