Came home last night to my flats and the people who own them were doing some work on the car park laying new tarmac and so asked people not to park on it - only 3 of us do so its no biggy.

I park the bike on the road and this morning some ones reversed into it and put it on the deck.

They high tailed it and no one saw it happen which is probably the usual story.

Anyways its a vespa gt 200 so some of you might not care too much about a scooter, but was given it by my mums partner after i passed my DAS to help towards a bigger bike (i.e trade in).

Now they didnt do much dmg just asthetic's but its kinda devalued the thing now.

Anyways sorry for the moan

Hope every one has a good day Thumbs Up

Sorry to hear about that dude. No CCTV anywhere near?

I hate it when people don't own up when damaging others property.

A few times my bike has been messed with whilst parked outside work, but no-one owns up. I bet they feel proper hard.

Have a look on eBay, you might find parts cheap. Thumbs Up

I will have a look on ebay - good idea luke

Thats where alarms help as people will look if they hear one going off in the street. People are less likely to chance driving off if they have trashed something with an alarm on and risk it that someone hasn't seen them.

Worth checking the cars later when they are back from work for dinks in bumpers that may give the game away. Wink

have a look at teh cars nearby and see if u can tell which ones reverse out of driveways etc, then look for the ones that have a few scratches around the same hight as the impact area of the vespa.

Process of elimination might help.

Once the culprit has been found, use a baseball bat Very Happy

Then use that process of elimination again to find out who the owner of the car is, and proceed to eliminate him... Evil or Very Mad

Remember if you are trading in the difference in cost between a good condition and a slightly damaged bike may not be too much

A shop can repair a bike a hell of a lot cheaper than you can.

Dont spend £300 quid only to gain £150 on a potential trade in price. You would still be £150 out of pocket

If it is just cosmetic you can probably do a decent job yourself
