Greetings All - hope this first post is in the correct forum...

Anyway - I'm looking at buying either the Garmin or TomTom SatNav, I've found plenty of comments on the TomTom, but does anyone have any thoughts/feedback on the Garmin Zumo 550?

Which one has the thumbs up?

TIA

Goose

Do a search for Tomtom rider and you'll find loads of threads about both units

All down to personal choice, I lean towards the Zumo myself but its close. Get down a halfords and have a play with both.

Been very interesting to read all these comments, i have used a Garmin Street Pilot 2610 for last 4 years mainly around Europe and would never do another trip without one. But feel its time to get a new one and i cant decide which way to go, I use Apple Mac (OSX10.5.2) and wondered does anybody have any experience of using either on the Mac, in the past had access to a PC to plan the route around Europe (which was fiddly!) but an essential part of planning. But now only have a mac - unless i install Bootcamp and Windows XP but dont really want to have to do that!!
