The thing is it is like negotiating with terrorists, you aren't supposed to negotiate as it just causes more terrorism etc.

(conveinently forgetting the NL government DID negotiate with terrorists in the 90s)

He KNOWS he is above the law and gets away with everything and thus he can effectively do anything he wants as there are no repercussions to his unethical/unlawful/disrespectful acts.
