Ok, I have a Bieffe Something or other Full-face helmet. Thing is, are my ears and cheeks supposed to be touching the sides of the helmet?

Cheers,

Gaz

Nah, they're supposed to be free to move about as much as they like as it doesnt matter if the helmets tight to protect your head Rolling Eyes

Of course they should be touching! Its point of protection and shock absorbtion in the unfortunate case that you have an off etc.

Do you mean touching the padding, or is it so tiht your face is pressed against the inside of the shell? Laughing

Ideally, the cheek pads should be tight enough to give you "hamster cheeks" when you try the lid on from brand new. Over time they will bed in and won't be so tight.

Ask the staff in whatever shop you go to, they'll let you know how it should fit.

The bit across your brow WILL NOT give, so if that's tiht and putting pressure on your head, it doesn't fit properly! But cheek pads should be quite tight from new.

Mine weren't, and now my cheek pads make my li feel almost "loose". Should really get some new ones, but it's £35 Confused

I should really get a new lid then, pads do not touch my cheeks at all. Rarely wear that one anyway, usually got the half-face on.

Cheers Nox. Thumbs Up

How much movement do you have when you put your lid on if it moves a bit then you need to replace the lid or depending on the lid some new pads

How old is the lid Question

Go to nearest dealers and they should be able to tell you

It is about a year old, there is not much movement because it is tight on the top of my head. New padding would be a good idea, cheers.
