Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Lydden is much further away and its less than a mile long or something.

Silverstone is much better value Smile

Lydden was only about an hours ride away (although that was at a steady 120-130mph Twisted Evil ) Smile

Mile long yes, which makes it better value as you get more laps per session Wink Razz

Dusty said it took facking ages to get there. Silverstone is wider and has the world famous copse corner. And My estimation of an hour and a half is an autoroute 70mph-motorway-30-in-a-30-zone standard calculation. So at our speeds, it will probably take about five minutes Razz Smile

Plus the facilities will be better and everyone knows that lydden is a supermoto track! Smile

Right I think that I should let other people comment now, cos I'm hogging my own thread again! Smile

Lydden would rock on a smaller bike, on a supermoto, or when it's particularly cheap - think it was more like £80 the day we went.

For the same money, I'd do Silverstone. Smile

BTW, I didn't sit in second all day Rolling Eyes but I tried a couple of laps just out of interest and although it was screaming it's nuts off on the 'straight' it was do-able.

I'll be up for it, money and bike permitting. Smile

I personally think Lydden Hill would be a better choice for people doing a first track day, as it's relatively quite a bit slower, and has less to learn.

We should try and get a day booked there later this year, I thought it was really good for spectating too, maybe not quite as good as Brands, but definitely better than the other tracks I've been to. Yes, it was quite a long way, but nowhere near as bad as getting to Cadwell.

I'd deffinately be up for going, privided that I can get leave.

I'm not sure what I will be doing come end of March but it could quite possibly be in the Yeovil area, anyone know how far the track is from there?

Cheers,
Cougs.

Dusty, we dcecided not to do Silverstone cos everyone else wanted to do crappy lydden. I suggested Cadwell and the mood changed somewhat. If you Vote silverstone then its still a possibility but cadwell looks good anyway. Smile
