Actor Heath Ledger found Dead.

Hollywood actor Heath Ledger has been found dead in a Manhattan apartment from a possible drugs overdose, according to police.

A spokesman said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the apartment in the trendy SoHo neighbourhood.

The housekeeper went to tell Ledger the masseuse had arrived and found him dead.

Police said they did not suspect foul play and added that pills were found near the body.

The 28-year-old Australian-born actor received an Oscar nomination for the hit film Brokeback Mountain.

Ledger met his partner, actress Michelle Williams, on the set in 2005.

I heard this through the grapevine last night, though it had been elaborated to be Mary-Kate Olsen's apartment.

Still, big shame, he was a great actor. His performance in Brokeback Mountain was something a bit special.

Owen wilson got his ex back after a suicide attempt, so i reckon maybe Heath Ledge was still cut up about his split with michelle williams and his kids, and was hoping to get them back.

Either that or he'd taken too many uppers on a night out and used the sleeping pills to try to get to sleep afterwards.

You wouldnt normally take enough sleeping pills to kill yourself, there has got to be a story there somewhere.

If I were him I'd be more emberrassed of "A Knights Tale". Fucking terrible movie. His final performance, though, is looking to be his best. As The Joker in the next Batman movie.
