okies

ran out of fuel, but i thought i had enuff to get the 30meters to teh petrol station.

so im trying to start the bike, and still trying, try some more. then i hear a loud POP! from my right side.

Dunno if its just the exhaust that popped or summin else.

Also pushed it to the garage filled up, waited for it to run through, then topped upto the brim. now wont it start. It tried then just stops trying. so i am chargin the battery now. But is it possible to flood the engine while fillin up the tank?

Cheers peeps

totally run out of fuel? like, to the bottom of the tank?

chances are some crud has got into teh carbs and blocked the jets, or an airlock has formed.

A backfire and hard starting confirms you now have a fuelling problem.

bad news - you might have to take the bike to bits.

Is the new spar plug getting wet when you try to start it? Are you getting a spark? The pop could be it backfiring through the carb. Could have shiyte from the near empty tank in the carb now also.
