Are there any legal places you can ride around in? The problem is I'm 16 for another few weeks but have a YBR sat in the garage just shouting to be practiced on Very Happy I have no problem legally getting to places as my dad is insured on it so can take me pillion there.

What are the laws regarding car parks (empty obviously) etc?

Cheers, Joe Thumbs Up

You will be fine a car park provided it is 1) not in use at time of going there 2) it has barriered off entrance/exits and 3) you don't piss anyone off...

At worst, you can only get done for trespassing but the cops will have to ask the land owner to press charges first... which they usually won't bother with.. if the cops have a problem with what you're doing they'll prob just ask you to move on....

I have this with stunt riding... struggling to find a decent car park locally that meets these requirements!! If police turn up, in your circumstances you'll probably be fine with what you're doing.... as for stunt riding, cops have turned up and provided I'm out of the way in a barriered off car park they don't have a problem usually, as long as I'm not pissing anyone off/making too much noise etc.

So, find a barried off car park and you'll be fine. (altho don't quote me on that if your local cops are particular c**ts lol)

Thanks for the post Thumbs Up Could I also not get done for driving outside the terms of my licence/without insurance etc? I know it would be rather harsh just for going around a car park, but you never know.

The car park is private land and not classed as a road so shouldn't be a problem ,especially if you are with your dad the police will see you are not up to no good

You don't need insurance on private land, provided it is all barriered off then you should be fine.

Supermarket car parks and similar tend to be classed as public regardless, so avoid supermarket car parks or large shopping center/retial park car parks.
