Crime...
It's everywhere - *cue news reader type duh duh duhhhhhhh type sounds*
And as such my kids school decided to set some homework slash discussion on the subject

'Choose 5 news stories about various crimes. Give your opinion on them, and how you think they affected people' -

One of the ones my kid chose was...
DOT'S GUN THUG HELL, (as of NOTW Sunday) Wink Basically, good ol' Dot from Eastenders had a gun pointed at her head by a 'yob' whilst at traffic lights in London!!
Kiddie cut said article out, stuck it in homework book, with the following heartfelt, emotive comments....

"Dot from Eastenders, known as June Brown, must have been terrified. My opinion is that people should not be allowed guns in the world because some people could get seriously hurt. It would have affected people by thinking that June Brown would be in hospital for several days.

And Eastenders would be OFF!"

Neutral Laughing I like the honest, truthful no fannying around answer there. It matters to her and that's cool Thumbs Up

Another couple of examples...
BENAZIR BOMBER HELD-
"There has been a lot of bombing recently and in my opinion somebody needs to stop it! All of the people in Pakistan will have no houses now"

BRIT GIRL IN NZ KILLED-
"The girl was very young and she hadn't really lived a life. People should never murder. People will be affected by this because they think they will be next"

If only the whole world thought like that.
We would all not kill, bomb, carry guns... but all sit around eating marshmallows, drinking hot choc and watching Eastenders!
God bless Dot Wink

If said people were bombed how on earth would those of us who don't watch it be able to feel superior to those that do?

Corrie viewers, Eastenders addicts, Big Brother saddos, News of the World readers et al - They make me feel superior in every way imaginable Wink Thumbs Up

I like to make every thread wonderful, if the only way to do that is fill it with insults and banter then so be it.
