I'd be surprised if it even made the 33bhp a lot of people claim at the crank. Realistically I'd guess at something around 28bhp at the wheel, with the newer model (since it changed appearance) actually being less than that because of emissions.

Someone like Kickstart will have some more accurate figures though I expect.

I'd expect no more than 23bhp at the wheel.

The older strokers are actually quicker.

I think the 94/95 RS was 33 at the crank, then it dropped a few bhp a year after that.

My mates old Tomos made 9000bhp. It had Turbo written on the side. Did 9000 miles an hour, 1 for every BHP. Didn't do corners very well though, he crashed at the Parabolica because he backed off the throttle. It was front wheel drive so he got lift off oversteer. It had a dustbin fairing and needed a parachute to slow it down. Dunno if thats right, because I just made it all up so it must be true.

Lol, it's stokies!

A RS125/Cagiva125 will make 24-27 RW-BHP.

If you can be bothered, you can work out the drive train losses and get to 31-34 Crank-BHP.

According to MCN 15 bhp restricted, 30 bhp unrestricted, and the track only special 33 bhp, as others have pointed out it'll make less at the rear wheel.

If your mates RS125 makes anywhere near 54 bhp then i PROMISE i'll let him ply me with whiskey and bum me senseless.

An RGV250 makes about that with an extra cylinder to help.

lol yep my old 94 RGV250 was 61 bhp
i think someone is telling porkies Laughing

well hes sort of right as bike manufacturers always quote the value at the crank, whereas a truer figure is what you get at the rear wheel

so it probably is 33 at the crank, in the same way that a sports bike with a quoted bhp of 100 is probably 90 at the rear wheel

So if I print 200bhp on the side of my bike will it have that much power?

the new rs125 will have way less power then the older ones as smaller carb then they stuck a restricted exhaust and midsection pipe and i think they block one of the air intake holes to. old model prob pumps out 28/30 tops at crank and new one pumps out 25 i reckon. every one with a rs125 says that they have the most powerfullist rs125 on the earth mate of mine reckoned he could do 150 and it was pumping out 40 sum horses yea right i doubt the race spec bikes do 150mph 140mph at a push.
