Full service on a friends nc30 (valves, carb setup, oil, sparks etc).

God the spark plugs are so cool, tiny buggers.

Only 2 valves were in limit! £40 on shims. Hole in the radiator, vacum pipe not connected right, no wonder it was running like crap.

That colour scheme is superb! I absolutely love that!!! Surprised

Is it original fairings painted up or a copy cat fairing bought pre-painted?

I want that one.... Wink (said in a Little Britain-esque voice!) Smile

Friends don't charge friends. Wink

My mates would pay for parts and I would do the work. Or the other way around.

it's alot of work so I wouldn't do it for free.

I've done many of valves clearances on my friends bikes for free. But normally the deal is for free is that they're at hand, I teach them so next time they can do it. Thumbs Up

I was also getting to the point of doing so much work for other people i wasn't getting anything out of it. Giving to much and no return. I've done tyres by hand, 3x valves cleanances, carb balancing, cam belts, re wired a bike after stolen, fork seals, so many jobs for a beer etc.

Honda quoted £500-600 and not including other things im doing. So nerrr.

I've done a small write up on ducati valves. But theres tonnes of write ups on vfr valve gear. The hardest part is putting the shims back into the buckets they sit in. Almost dropped two into the cam gears, luckily i thought about it and stuffed tissue down holes and had a magnet pen at hand.

bah but then you get users too which shows you the ruthlessness of humans.

Not generallising but in my experience lots of women users, I've had quite a few pretend GFs, the kind you never quite make it to the sack with, but happen to lots of bike repairs for. CBR600 girl (the first one , not the 3rd one who I chased home oneday).

Got me to change the CBR600F 06 on forks to older full adjustable CBR600F4 forks , on the implied promise of poontang, I finished the job she felt really tired for a convenient reason, didn't even make me a cup of tea.

She didn't speak to me again for 3 months till she needed another repair (fork seals). I ignored her though.

She was hinting at going to bed and you were just too concerned about your cup of tea. Razz

Yes the paint scheme is one of my favourites, but the job isn't amazing.

Snapon/bluepoint micrometer so yes £££.
